I would do some crazy april fools day prank, but I'm too lazy.
So far, this month is starting off very dreary and rainy. The sky is cloudy and bleak. Yesterday it rained and hailed. I know that rain on easter sunday is normal, but hail?
When I got home after the performance on thursday, I was handed an envelope. I opened it to find a letter and a certificate. About three or four months ago I entered two of my poems into a contest. I didn't expect to win anything, but I figured it couldn't hurt to enter. In the envelope was a letter explaining that I had done very well in the contest and I had won not honorable mention, not a silver key, but a gold key. The actual award is supposed to come in the mail sometime soon. All I have for now is the certificate. I didn't win at the national level, but I did advance to that level. I think I should get some kind of cash reward, but I don't. At least I know I'm a good poet though.
A little while ago, Lois Lowry came out with a new book in The Giver series. I read The Giver when I was in like fifth grade, and it was really great. Probably about a year ago I found and read Gathering Blue and Messenger, which are the two books that continue the story. Kind of. Then, I found the new book, Son, and I began reading it on thursday night. I am about half through with it now. It is much longer than the other three books, but it is absolutely fantastic. I hope that it finishes up the story nicely and connects everything.
Auditions are today for the talent show. I am scared to death because I still haven't decided on a song. I have a CD of one that I can do just in case, but I have been wanting to do one with my Ukulele. I brought it just in case, along with my binder of music. I keep looking through it thinking that the right song will just pop out at me. My mom suggested that I do "Some Nights" by FUN, but I would have to edit the lyrics a bit. I would love to do the song "Finding Something To Do" by Hellogoodbye, but the chords are a little too complicated for me to perform without music. I thought about "Good Time" by Owl City, but I don't care for the song that much. Theres "Who I Am Hates Who I've Been" by Relient K also, but I don't feel like thats the song that I want to do. "Me Without You" by TobyMac is a good one, but I don't know all the words that well. My song on a CD is "Can You Feel It" by Family Force 5. I really don't know what I'm going to do. I want to play my ukulele, but I also want to be able to dance around on the stage, which I can't do if I play my ukulele.GRRRRRF. I guess I'll know by the time auditions start.
Love,
Elizabeth W.

Spanish Extra Credit
!Hola¡ Soy Belinda, Y este dia, cantare una canta para tu.
Okay, just kidding, but I do have something I have to do in spanish today. I'm also too lazy to put real grammar and accent marks in this post. I have brought my ukulele to school today in order to perform a song in spanish in spanish class. I could use some extra credit, is all. I made some grades on quizzes that I am not very proud of, and I want to do this to bring up my grade a little, since I'm trying to keep my ranking of 3rd place through the end of the 6 weeks when grades are locked in. I probably should have done that in a few other 6 weeks to, but whatever. I'm going to perform the song "A Year Without Rain" by Selena Gomez, but in spanish, it is "Un Ano Sin Ver Llover". I hope I get most of the pronunciation right. Last period I performed it because I was asked to by some kids in my aquatic science class. It was slightly emberassing. And I get really nervous and slightly sweaty when I do unplanned performances, so it was a little awkward.
Because of one act play, I have to miss my field trip for aquatic science. The teacher says he'll try and work something out, but I doubt it will happen. Its only a trip to a lake, so its not like I won't ever be able to do that thing again. And there will be another field trip a little later on, so I'm not worried.
I need to go and talk to the principal or vice principal today during lunch. I found this thing online where if I teach this three lesson course on financial education, I can be entered to win a $10,000 scholarship, and the people who attend get entered to win $1,000 scholarships. I have already printed out the first two lessons, I just have to get permission and a sponsor. I think I might get the librarian or maybe a math teacher. I'll just have to ask around. There are only three sessions, so it shouldn't be a big problem. I'll just have to make sure to get some posters printed out and get it announced. I think people will come, especially when they hear about the scholarship part. I have to take pictures in order to put them in my contest entry also.
I think I might search around for similar things while I am online today. I think there might be some others.
Love,
Elizabeth W.

What Time Is It?
ADVENTURE TIME! Errr... UKULELE TIME! Ugh, no... ONE ACT TIME!
Haha. I have to go with the one act people today for our official rehearsal on the contest stage. We have to eat first lunch again, which is good because I am super hungry, and I hope to be able to sleep on the bus.
This morning I was just leaving the house, almost out of the driveway, when I got a text message from my drama teacher. Don't forget to wear your one act shirt! So, we had to back up and I ran inside and got it, then changed at school. I think she needs to work on her timing of text messages. I wasn't the only one who almost forgot either. She said that she told us to wear them today when we were at practice on monday. However, I don't think that she did, because no one can remember it.
I have developed this brochitis-y cough thing again. It is really annoying, and it scares me a bit since contest for one act is on friday. I hope it goes away. My throat doesn't hurt or anything, but I keep coughing. Not a shallow "Oh, I'm sick" cough, but a serious bronchitis-y cough from my lungs. Ain't nobody got time for that!
I have a song stuck in my head right now that is from adventure time, by the way, hence the intro. I don't watch adventure time, nor will I in the near future, but I saw the cover of the song "Good Little Girl/Bad Little Boy" that Meekakitty did, and I loved it. So, I learned it on the Ukulele, but I still don't know the very last verse in the version that she sang.
Good little girl, always picking a fight with me,
You know that I'm bad, but you're spending the night with me,
What do you want from my world? You're a good little girl...
Bad little boy, thats what you're acting like,
But oh, I don't buy that you're that kind of guy,
And if you are, why don't you just say goodbye?
Good little girl, you've stolen my heart... Something something something.
I really don't know the rest, so if you do, please tell me in the comments. I don't mean the monologue version either. I should probably just look up the video of meekakitty and rusty, then just make a video of my own of me covering it.
On the first sunday of spring break, I had a skype date with my dearest. It was fun, and slightly awkward, but then again, I've never skyped anyone before, so that was probably the reason. I played that song during the date. Just FYI.
On saturday, we went to Ellen's house after drama practice and hung out. We had burgers and then we sat and watched a video of our play that we had made earlier that day. After that, we went outside and built a fire and roasted marshmallows. I brought my ukulele along and I played it when we were outside. It started by me just playing it randomly, four chords over and over. Then another person, Jack, said something and I sang it back to him whilst playing those four chords. Then Jenna asked me to narrate her life, so she began spouting out facts and I started singing them off-key and to random tunes to the sound of the ukulele. And eventually everyone was singing what they were saying. We even sang part of "Take On Me" in a very loud and off-key way. It was like an impromptu jam session, but with a ukulele. I should start bringing it everywhere, so things like that can happen more often.
I have pretty much given up on my stocks. I have lost over 5 thousand dollars, but I've made more than enough trades to make a 100 in the class.
My family and I were watching movies on netflix last night. First we watched "Thou Shalt Laugh", which is a video of a christian comedy performance. It was pretty good. Then we watched the second one, "Thou Shalt Laugh 2: The Deuce", and it was just as good, if not better. My absolute favourite comedian on both of them was the guy with the puppets. I forget his name. I am really tempted to buy a pig puppet like he has, since he sells them on his website. I really liked the lady from SNL, Victoria Jackson, too. At least I think she was from SNL. Anyway, She played the ukulele, but I think it was a bigger ukulele, possibly even a lower sounding one too. I liked her song "Nice Ukulele". Oh, I looked it up and she plays a BARITONE ukulele. Thats pretty cool. I want a ukulele that hooks up to an amp or whatever. That way I can perform in large spaces and people can really hear the ukulele.
So, for some reason google still won't approve my adsense account and I don't know why. I guess I'll wait until the summer and try to figure it out then. I think it might just need time, but I do need to do some research as to why it won't accept it.
Love,
Elizabeth W.

Stuff for the New Year
I am currently working on a bunch of stuff for the New Year. Tons of videos and music videos and skits and whatnot. All floating around in my head.
I have an issue though. Yesterday, I went to make a Vlog. And my camera died when I tried to turn it on. I have had the camera for two years or more, mind you, but I am still saddened. I used my mom's camera to film the vlog, and it should be uploaded soon.
However, this leaves me without a camera, and unable to film with my own camera on my own terms.
My mom says we can find another camera rather cheap. I don't know how cheap is cheap enough. I have literally no money at all right now. Okay, I have a five dollar bill. But thats it!
Anyway, my video editing program is just a trial version. I have only twenty days left to use it. I hope to get the actual full version sometime soon.
At the moment, life is rather boring. I make videos and upload them. Uploading takes about two hours because YouTube is stupid. I watch Doctor Who and drink coffee. I stalk people on facebook, instagram, etc. In my spare time I play the ukulele. Life is just okay.
School starts back next week. Not looking forward to that. I can't do anything about it though.

Elizabeth W.

New Ideas For The New Year
So, the new year is in just a few days... Well, NO DUH! That is practically all that everyone on Facebook and whatnot are talking about. The new year (and a new laptop) will definitely mean some cool things for me and you.
SKITS!
This last year I didn't do many skits or music videos on YouTube. Honestly, 2012 has just been a year void of time and creativity. However, I am currently working with my brother, James, (who has agreed to be in my videos again) and we have been coming up with some awesome video ideas. I have been working out the logistics for each of them in my spare time.
EDITING!
I have also been very un-creative in my editing this year. I just got sick of using windows movie maker. However, I currently have a trial version of PowerDirector (hopefully I will get the full version sometime soon) and I absolutely love it. Its not Final Cut Pro, but its better than what I was working with.
MUSIC VIDEOS!
I am so ready to make some more music videos. I have new camera stands that I am dying to use and tons of new music to incorporate. I would love to make another video like Zombie, where I actually have other people. Directing that video was fun, and because I had other people depending on me, I was able to push myself to make it great and get it done.
COVERS!
With the new year, I plan to make a ton of cover videos too. I am constantly learning new songs on the ukulele and I hope to get a mic sometime soon, so that I can have better quality audio.
VLOGS!
I have never considered myself good at vlogging. That is a major reason that I blog. However, with a new editing program, I feel more confident that I can make some interesting vlogs, so look out for those as well.
In the mean time, happy new year!
Love,
Elizabeth W.

100th Post Fanfiction!
*Please not that this whole story is fictional. I have never met the band FF5 or Isaac Dietz or anyone associated with them, although I would love to someday. I do plan on dying my hair red this summer, though.*
I sat nervously at the computer. Should I click send? Would it work? So much thought and work had led up to this point. Finally, after reading over it a fifth time, I sent the e-mail. Now all that was left to do was wait.
A few minutes later, we returned to the warehouse. A wave of "wow"s and "oooh"s went around the room. I thanked Crouton for his help, then headed to help Isaac. Two small children attacked me before I could reach my destination. I was knocked to the ground immediately, since such an attack was unexpected. Well, at least I knew John and Cash were getting along well. "Sissy, can I have my DS?" John asked several times before quieting. "I want to show Cash my game." I ruffled the hair on their heads and crawled out from underneath the two children. These wild little boys were too much alike. I told him that my mom had it and they ran off once again. The next time I looked over, my mom was chatting with Solomon's wife and John and Cash were seated on the floor nearby, chattering away as they took turns playing the game.
When I reached the grouping of cameras and lights, Isaac explained to me that one of their really important backers had contacted them just a few minutes earlier to say that they couldn't make it. "Would you take her place?" he asked. "Sure," I said, happy that I would play a significant role in the video, but feeling bad that a person had paid money and then lost the ability to come and participate. "You know the basic video idea, right?" he questioned. I nodded my head. I had read and watched everything available about the making of the "Chainsaw" music video. "Well," he said, "the backer that was supposed to do the chipmunk "Chainsaw" part called a little while ago and won't be able to make it due to a family obligation. Its really simple and we'll tell you what to do. First, though, you need to go to costume and makeup to get your 'lumberjack' gear. After that, we'll shoot the video, since the rest of the backers are starting to arrive."
In the costume/makeup room, I found all 5 band members, finishing up preparations for the video. "Whats up Lizardbreath?" Soul Glow asked. "Nothing much," I answered. "One of the backers cancelled, so I'm filling in." Crouton ran over to a clothing rack and retrieved a red and black plaid button-up shirt, a pair of white skinny jeans, and a tank top bearing the word "Chainsaw" in big red letters, then held them out to me. "Here, you'll need to put these on." I stepped behind the floor-length curtain that I was directed to and found myself in a small room bearing nothing but a mirror on the wall. As I removed the pair of white skinny jeans from the hanger, I noticed the letters "SGA" written on the tag in faded Sharpie marker. Of course. the original backer was probably going to bring their own white skinnies, or else would wear a much different size than me. I didn't have white skinnies, but they were necessary for the video, so Jacob grabbed a pair that would come closest to fitting.
When I emerged from the little room a few minutes later, I was surprised to find Soli was the only one there. Before I could react or say anything, he shoved a hat on my head. "There," he said, obviously satisfied with is costume modification. "Now, its cray." I could imagine that Crouton would have a fit as soon as he saw what Solomon had changed with the costume. I looked over at the full length mirror on the opposite wall and mentally agreed with Solomon. It was a rather awesome hat, and it made the outfit complete. I made a silent wish to be able to keep the costume once the shoot was over with. Then, after three seconds of eye contact agreement, we turned and headed out to film.
The filming was done in just a few hours. By lunch, we were done and all of the other backers had left. My mother, brother, and I, along with the band and crew members, invaded a nearby Subway for lunch. Mom and Soli's wife sat at a table with John and Cash. Apparently they all hit it off pretty well. I was just glad to have them all out of my hair for a little while. Isaac was sitting with the band, so I joined them once I got my food. In between bite, I was forced to explain every detail of my life, including my plans for the future. I had just graduated high school, so I was extremely used to answering these questions.
"You got any plans for the rest of the summer?" Isaac asked. "Not really," I replied. "I don't plan on taking any summer classes, and I have no need to get a summer job. Not yet anyway." Suddenly, Solomon's face lit up. He looked at Isaac, then back at me, then back at Isaac. "Tub-o! She should come on tour with us!" he exclaimed. Isaac started to protest, but was cut off. "You said yourself that Intern won't be able to come with us this summer. Lizardbreath could come and help out with the filming and merch!" I was beginning to think that Lizardbreath would turn out to be my "gangsta name" if I ever got one, since that was what I kept getting called. The other guys chimed in with their statements of agreement. "Guys!" Isaac practically shouted. "We leave for tour as soon as we finish the shoot. I'm all for Elizabeth coming along, but she probably doesn't have everything she needs." "Actually, I probably do," I stated. "I have at least a week's worth of clothing and pretty much all my necessities back at the hotel. I even have my ukulele and laptop." There was a moment of silence as they pondered my statement. Then Nathan (AKA: Nadaddy) broke the silence, "You think you're up for it?" "As long as you can convince my parents to let me go," I said with a chuckle. I could barely believe what was happening to me. Wait until I told Sarah how I would be spending my summer.
After nearly an hour on the phone with my dad and a brief conversation with my mother (my dad has always been the overprotective one), Isaac and the band had managed to get permission to steal me for the summer and drag me across the country at their will. At the hotel that night, my mom asked me if I had planned this whole thing. "No," I replied. "This was totally their idea."

Hi Isaac!
You don't know me, but my name is Elizabeth. I am an amateur film maker and a senior in high school. I really adore your work with Family Force 5's music videos, Really Real Shows, and documentaries. I know that you and FF5 will be shooting a music video on June 14th and 15th of 2013, and I plan to attend and participate. As a film maker myself, I am always trying to improve upon my work, but I have never gotten the chance to work on a professional set. I am not requesting that you give me a job. Would you possibly allow me to help out as almost an unpaid intern or something of that nature? I just want to get experience in the film industry before I go off to college.

Elizabeth W.

Elizabeth,
Its nice to see a young person like you taking the initiative. I'm not sure if unpaid intern is the correct term, but we can certainly find something for you to do. Go ahead and buy your tickets, then meet me at the sign-in desk about two hours before the official sign in time. We're looking forward to working with you!
Your friend,
Isaac
Before I tell you what exactly happened when I read that e-mail, let me inform you that I do not react normally when something exciting happens. I rarely jump up and down and scream, like most other teenage girls. However, that is very close to what happened. Astonished, I stood up ad backed away from the computer, mouth open, in awe. "Mom!" I called into the other room. "What?" she said, coming over to the computer. "Can you read this e-mail," I requested. Unsure, she sat and began reading. By this time, I was smiling uncontrollably. "Well," she said, "we better buy those tickets before they're sold out." As I danced joyfully around the room and updated my Facebook status, my mother purchased the tickets: enough for me, her, and my 6-year-old brother, John, who was also a fan of Family Force 5. James, my other brother, disliked anything that I liked and my dad was a fuddy-duddy. The three fun people of the family were going to have a great time.
Over the weeks before the event, I talked the thing up with John. I do the same with any exciting thing that happens to me. This last year, I kept talking with him about dying my hair red at the beginning of summer. Basically, it keeps him occupied, keeps me excited, and gives me someone to talk with who won't get annoyed with me. My mom is always unsure of things like that. Personally, I couldn't wait to dye my hair red, even though it would take a great leap of faith.
The night before we left, it seemed to take forever to get to sleep. Everything was packed. I made sure that I had enough clothes and then some. I packed all kinds of things to entertain myself and my brother on the four hour trip across the state. Since we would be staying the night at a hotel, I had brought pretty much all of the necessities for my hair and whatnot. I could not wait.
At 6:00 in the morning, our car rolled into the set parking lot. My mother gestured for me to go into the large building to the right as she carefully removed my sleeping brother from the backseat. Not wanting to seem nervous or awkward, despite the fact that no one was watching, I briskly walked to the building. Just as I was reaching for the door handle, the door swung open , knocking me out of the way. A hand reached down to help me up and a familiar voice uttered "Oh, I'm sorry!" Soon, I found myself face-to-face with the golden-haired guitarist, Derek Mount, AKA: Chapstique. "No, its okay," I reassured him, trying not to act like an obsessed fangirl. "The shoot doesn't start for, like, two hours," he said. "Why exactly are you here?" Still in stock at how awesome it was to meet him in person, I managed to stutter, "Umm... I talked with Isaac... I'm, umm... supposed to help with the video." His face lit up in recognition, "Oh! You must be Lizardbreath... err... Elizabeth! Isaac and the rest of the guys are inside. You might want to go find him and let him know you're here." "Thanks," I replied as we parted ways.
Inside the dark warehouse, I saw the registration table set up. What seemed like a football field away, there was a setup of various lights and cameras. About ten people were scattered throughout the area, each working to accomplish a different task. Even so far away, I could hear Isaac shouting out orders. Knowing that he probably didn't notice me come in, I made my way across the warehouse to where they were. It didn't take long to be noticed after I got within seeing distance for the band members. Of course, the first one to notice me was Jacob, the one known as Crouton. Of course, how could I not be noticed by the one who pays the most attention to hair and clothing?
"Hey guys, look!" he shouted. "Its Lizardbreath!" Suddenly, I was surrounded by four rambuncious musicians. I heard shouts of "Nice to meet you" mixed with "I love your hair" and "Awesome shoes". Finally, they backed off enough that I could get my bearings on the situation. This was not the reaction I was expecting. I felt an arm around my shoulder. Solomon. Soul Glow Activatur. I was surprised at how short he was. We were pretty much the same height, and the other guys were like giants in comparison. "Well, you probably already know," he said, " but I am Soul Glow Activatur, and this is..." He started to introduce the others, but I cut him off. "Nadaddy, Crouton, Fatty, and outside is Chapstique." Then I gestured to the mob of people over by the cameras. "Over there is Tub-o, Xanadu, and Quaigon. If I see a small child running around, I can assume that is Cash." "Well done," said Nadaddy. I could tell Isaac was still preoccupied with the lights and cameras, things I knew very little about. I figured I might as well get to know the guys while I had the chance.
"First of all," I said, "I have a question for you all. How do you know who I am?" I was honestly curious. They all recognized me immediately. "We looked you up on YouTube," Solomon replied simply. "More like they all looked over my shoulder while I looked at your videos. You sent a link in your e-mail," Isaac said, finally joining us. "Oh, I forgot about that," I said. "I thought they were really great for what you have been working with," Isaac commented, " I said you could come because I saw potential. That, and Crouton wanted to see your red hair in person." "Thanks for keeping my secrets, Tub-o," Crouton exclaimed, obviously embarrassed. "Its okay," I said, "I couldn't figure out what to do with my hair this morning, so I threw it up in a ponytail..." Before I could finish my though, Crouton was practically in my face, shouting," Can I do your hair?" "Sure," I said, a little surprised at how quickly he had volunteered. That was what I had planned on asking, but I was fine with him asking me first.
We met my mom and little brother on the way out of the building. "Where are you going?" She asked. "I'm going to style her hair," Crouton answered for me. My mom just shook her head and kept walking.
The tour bus was pretty much as I had expected it to be. I had seen the videos online, so the setup was familiar, though I never expected to see it in real life. He instructed me to sit at one of the tables in the living area, then ran off toward the bunks. At that moment, Chapstique emerged, his hair freshly styled. He had obviously returned to the bus just to fix his perfect hair. A little confused, he asked, " What are you doing here?" "She is my new hair model," Crouton said, emerging again with various hair styling tools in tow. He immediately plugged in an expensive-looking flat iron. I removed the ponytail holder from my hair and put it on my wrist. "Well, see you later, Lizardbreath," Chapstique said, ruffling my hair before exiting the bus. As he set to work on my hair, Crouton asked, " I've been meaning to ask you, where did you get your shirt?" "I made it," I replied. "I do my own screen printing and modifications." "Oh, so kinda like Crouton's Cuts," he said. "Yeah," I replied, "but more people are fans of Crouton than Lizardbreath, so I just make them for myself and my friends." "Well, I'm your friend. Can you make me a few?" "Absolutely," I replied giggling.
This is the end of part one. Part two will be posted at a later date... Maybe. Thank you for reading and be sure to come back soon.

It Always Happens...
375... I am metaphorically applauding you all right now. Good job, you only have 125 more to go before Friday.
So, today I recieved my first Christmas present of the year. My friend, Emily, gave it to me this morning as soon as I got to school. I really wasn't expecting it. It was a Christmas-y Sock Monkey (Another one for the collection!), some watercolor colored pencils and some dark chocolate hersheys kisses.
The only thing I worry about around this time is when people get me presents when I don't get them anything. I have to go home today and make three gifts. I have one person that got me something that I didn't plan for, and two people who might get me something, but I'm not sure about. I would like to give them gifts either way. One person is the person who I'm doing secret santa for in spanish class. I think I will just make her something small to go along with that. Technically, we are supposed to have a $20 limit on the secret santa gift, but I think I went a few dollars over. No biggie. Hopefully I have time to make some duct tape wallets before Friday.
Today, when I go home, I have to immediately get started on my Spanish project. Its due tommorrow, and I didn't get to work on it at all yesterday. I have to film four or five 30 second segments, then upload all of the video parts to the computer. After that, I have to try and convince my mom to buy a $15 upgrade/mod to Windows Movie Maker, so that I will have access to some editing effects that are actually useful. I have to edit and transfer the video to a DVD before the end of the day. Tommorow, the project is due. I am very nevous about how it will turn out, seeing as it was such short notice. I may end up staying up until like 10 or 11 tonight.
That means that my gift making for those three people will get pushed off to Thursday night, unless I can speed through the making of the video. But, I have to go to my brother's band concert Thursday night. Maybe I'll have some time between coming home from school and having to go back and see the concert. The concert should be over at around 8 or 9. We will probably go out to eat, so we will get home around 9 or 10. But, his concert won't start until 6 or 7. That means I have from 4:30 to 6 to work on gifts. I know I will make one for sure. I might need to plan out the colors and designs so that I know already what I will do.
On Saturday, I have to go to a family Christmas gathering at a relative's house. I'm not really looking foreward to it. Not only will almost all of the family from my dad's side be there, but also some random people that half of us don't know. I'll just bring my ukulele and my phone to entertain myself, and be ready to talk about what type of job I want to have and what college I plan to go to. Relatives always ask about that stuff. I'll prepare myself to recieve about a thousand random shallow complements and hug random strangers. Ugh. Family gatherings.
I gave a Christmas lesson in FCA today. I basically took the Christmas story and went more into detail, examining what it must have really been like, not just what happened. I mean, I think Mary must have been really afraid when the angel first appeared to her. And when she told Joseph, he must have been really suspicious and almost ashamed. The shepherds must have felt really special to have such a chior of angels gathering above them, singing praises to God. And the Wise men were probably a little confused when they came to the manger and saw the little toddler that was said to be their savior and king. I think its cool too that they brought the three gifts that they did. Gold said he was worthy. Frankincense said that they would worship him. Myrrh said that he would die but come back, saving us all. The way that God put all of the story together is just amazing.

Elizabeth W.

Ukulele Day #1
So, today I brought my ukulele to school. Yes, I have a ukulele. Yes, I play it quite frequently. Yes, I only got it about two months ago. Technically, the one that I play on is my brother's, but mine is more of a toy and his is an authentic instrument. So, I brought my brother's ukulele to school today because I wanted to use it for senior pictures.
I was relly impressed at how well they handled someone bringing such an odd instrument in as a prop. I can't wait to see how the pictures turn out. They're supposed to mail the proofs within three weeks. I can't wait.
But I think its amazing how much of a conversation starter a ukulele is. I mean, you simply walk in with it and you're bombarded with questions of "Is that a ukulele?" "Do you know how to play?" "Can I try?" "Will you play it for me?"... Its so crazy. And for someone who doesn't work well with random conversations, its really strange and almost scary. I almost dread it. However, I do enjoy the fact that people notice. I guess I could start saying, okay, I'll play you one song, but you can go to my youtube channel and watch a ton of others.
A ukulele is also rather cumbersome to carry around all day. If I didn't have a backpack, a jacket, and a stack of books to lug around all the time, it wouldn't be so bad. If my brother hadn't lost the case, it wouldn't be so bad either. I have to carry it around by the neck because he lost the case that slips over it and has a handle.
Today, I have to stay for extra time after school because my parents (both are teachers) have a meeting after school. I guess at least I will have something to work on and entertain myself with.
I have been learning several Christmas songs to put on Youtube and play at family gatherings, but I have found no time to make videos. I hope that I will have a little time today, that way I can make one or two. I really enjoy making the videos with my dad's webcam instead of my cell phone camera. It takes better quality video and is more predictable. Hopefully I can manage to do some videos sometime this week. If not, I may have to wait until Christmas break.
Well, its almost time for me to go... You know what that means!

If you could hear any song played on the ukulele, what song would it be?
Well, I have to go make t-shirt designs and then review for a history test.
See you tomorrow!

Feeling Terrible...
So, today, I feel terrible. I did not want to get out of bed this morning. I nearly fell down and I got really dizzy when I was trying to get dressed. My throat feels swollen and I feel like I could simply lay down and go back to sleep right now. However, I am at school anyway.
My first period teacher sent me to the nurse. I did not want to call my mom or dad to pick me up because then they would have to miss work. I didn't have a fever. I just rested in the nurse's office for a few minutes and then went back to class. Then, in second period, I almost fell asleep three times during the lecture. I would rest right now, during my dual credit class, but I find it almost impossible to do so when the teacher is watching your every move and there is literally no place to lay down.
I don't feel like I have the brain capacity to do work, and my head hurts really badly.
I have gotten some things done today. I got my form turned in to the counselor so that I can take dual credit sociology next semester. I also got my report card. I got all A's and all of my grades improved, except for my grade in theatre (lets just say that I wasn't ready for the last lines test). I also started the registration for the Burger King Scholars Foundation, but I have to check the confirmation email in order to go any further. And, of course, I can't get to my email from the school computers, so it must wait until I get home.
I have officially applied to two colleges, and I am working on the application for a third. I'm so excited and nervous. I want to get my acceptance letters so that I can show them off. Personally, I am pretty confident that I will be accepted. Its not like I'm applying to ivy-league schools or anything. I have a college campus tour day coming up on saturday. I hope I feel better by then.
I'm trying so hard to think of something interesting to blog about today, but there is literally nothing there. In my brain. I am so bored. I am a boring person today...
I have this idea for a lesson for the next time I teach in FCA. I want to be able to bring my Ukulele and play it as part of the lesson. One song that I really love to play on the Ukulele is the song "Superhero" by Family Force 5. It talks about just wanting God to come and save you from everything that has gone wrong and the stress and craziness of the world. I want to plan a lesson around that song. I think I'll talk about the plan of salvation. I could give my testimony, even through it's nothing special. I could tell how God has saved people from things like drugs and poverty and depression. I could tell everyone how he can save them to, if they only are willing to ask. And I could say that just because you have accepted Christ as your savior doesn't mean that you can't give everything up to him again and feel renewed. Then I could play the song and say that right then was the time to give it all up again. I feel like I should invite more people to come that week. I will be teaching the message of salvation at that point. I want people to hear it who truly need it.

Thanksgiving is coming up. My dad is working with his brothers to try and organize a family gathering of some sort. I just want to eat. I don't really care if all of the people are there, I don't like half of them anyway. I just like food. Wow, that was harsh. Sorry, I'm just really hungry and kinda angry. I'm hangry. I still have like an hour until lunch. I guess I'm done for now.

AAAAAAAAAAAH! CHRISTMAS!
So, recently, in one of my classes, we had a fire drill. They normally don't bother me too much. You're sitting in class, an obnoxiously loud alarm goes off, everyone files out of the classroom and goes outside. Simple. But this time, we had it during one of the few times I have slept in school. There was nothing really important that we were doing in this particular class. We were supposed to be watching a movie, but it was a really boring documentary. All of the other kids in the class were asleep, so I decided to sleep too. The night before, I barely got any sleep. So, I fell asleep on my desk. Then, the fire alarm goes off. Think of the alarm clock from hell going off. Its screaming in your ears and your head hurts and you have to get up, run down the stairs and go outside and you may or may not have forgotten your jacket and its freezing cold out there! That was the absolute worst fire drill I have ever experienced, and the worst way ever to wake up.
Now that that rant is over, heres another. I know that thanksgiving hasn't even passed yet, but its already feeling like Christmas time to me. I heard Christmas music playing when I went to Walmart the other day and I was like "WHAT THE HECK?" but now I keep getting Christmas songs stuck in my head. I made a Christmas wishlist a long time ago, so I am not doing that, I am, however, making a Christmas set list for my brother and I. Basically, it is a list of all of the Christmas songs that we plan to learn and play at every family gathering and post on YouTube pretty soon after Thanksgiving. So far, there are about five or so songs including "Blue Christmas", "Who Spiked the Eggnog", and "All I want for Christmas is you". I have the last one stuck in my head right now. The thing is, I don't know all of the words to any of those songs. AM I CRAZY??? Probably, but thats besides the point. Okay, well, I guess I ahve to say bye for now since I thought of something that I need to do.

Question of the day:
Do YOU write a Christmas wishlist? If so, have you written it already?
Okay, talk to you all later! And merry almost Christmas!
