375... I am metaphorically applauding you all right now. Good job, you only have 125 more to go before Friday.
So, today I recieved my first Christmas present of the year. My friend, Emily, gave it to me this morning as soon as I got to school. I really wasn't expecting it. It was a Christmas-y Sock Monkey (Another one for the collection!), some watercolor colored pencils and some dark chocolate hersheys kisses.
The only thing I worry about around this time is when people get me presents when I don't get them anything. I have to go home today and make three gifts. I have one person that got me something that I didn't plan for, and two people who might get me something, but I'm not sure about. I would like to give them gifts either way. One person is the person who I'm doing secret santa for in spanish class. I think I will just make her something small to go along with that. Technically, we are supposed to have a $20 limit on the secret santa gift, but I think I went a few dollars over. No biggie. Hopefully I have time to make some duct tape wallets before Friday.
Today, when I go home, I have to immediately get started on my Spanish project. Its due tommorrow, and I didn't get to work on it at all yesterday. I have to film four or five 30 second segments, then upload all of the video parts to the computer. After that, I have to try and convince my mom to buy a $15 upgrade/mod to Windows Movie Maker, so that I will have access to some editing effects that are actually useful. I have to edit and transfer the video to a DVD before the end of the day. Tommorow, the project is due. I am very nevous about how it will turn out, seeing as it was such short notice. I may end up staying up until like 10 or 11 tonight.
That means that my gift making for those three people will get pushed off to Thursday night, unless I can speed through the making of the video. But, I have to go to my brother's band concert Thursday night. Maybe I'll have some time between coming home from school and having to go back and see the concert. The concert should be over at around 8 or 9. We will probably go out to eat, so we will get home around 9 or 10. But, his concert won't start until 6 or 7. That means I have from 4:30 to 6 to work on gifts. I know I will make one for sure. I might need to plan out the colors and designs so that I know already what I will do.
On Saturday, I have to go to a family Christmas gathering at a relative's house. I'm not really looking foreward to it. Not only will almost all of the family from my dad's side be there, but also some random people that half of us don't know. I'll just bring my ukulele and my phone to entertain myself, and be ready to talk about what type of job I want to have and what college I plan to go to. Relatives always ask about that stuff. I'll prepare myself to recieve about a thousand random shallow complements and hug random strangers. Ugh. Family gatherings.
I gave a Christmas lesson in FCA today. I basically took the Christmas story and went more into detail, examining what it must have really been like, not just what happened. I mean, I think Mary must have been really afraid when the angel first appeared to her. And when she told Joseph, he must have been really suspicious and almost ashamed. The shepherds must have felt really special to have such a chior of angels gathering above them, singing praises to God. And the Wise men were probably a little confused when they came to the manger and saw the little toddler that was said to be their savior and king. I think its cool too that they brought the three gifts that they did. Gold said he was worthy. Frankincense said that they would worship him. Myrrh said that he would die but come back, saving us all. The way that God put all of the story together is just amazing.

Secret Fanfiction...
I guess this is something that I've been hiding for a long time. I want to finally let it out.
I am secretly a fanfiction writer.
There it is. I said it. I know, I know, its hard to believe. I don't write it very often, just when I come up with a really intriguing story idea. I don't really publish them on the internet either. I have a notebook that I carry around all of the time, and I write them there. Sometimes I put myself in the story, sometimes I don't. Most of the time, though, I make the main character a romanticized version of myself.
The beginning of my fanfiction writing was probably when I first started highschool. My first one was a Priates of the Caribbean one. Basically, I took the story where the third movie left off (there were only three movies at that time), skipped foreward about ten years, and expanded upon it.
My first ideas for the stories I write normally come from things I think up to help me get to sleep at night. I used to read or listen to music before I go to bed, and I still do sometimes, but now I do this. I think of some person or character that I would like to meet or be, and then create a story in my mind where that can happen.
It kind of works the same way I come up with the ideas for my music videos. I sit there and think about the song until I come up with a few sequences that would make sense. Then, I find a way to stitch them together. I just have a really great imagination and ability to see things in my mind.
Most of the time, the stories I come up with are based on my most recent obsession. There was the Pirates one, along with a Peter Pan one, and a superhero one, and right now I am working on a FF5 one. I have never thought about putting the stories out for people to read until now. I'm still very unsure about it.
One big problem with my stories is that I can never get to the end of one. The only one I ever finished was the Peter Pan one, and it was only like a page and a half long. My Pirates one is still a work in progress. I got about half way into the story. I have about thirty handwritten pages. I think someday I will try and put them together in a kind of anthology. Maybe I can find someone to help me come up with the endings.
I am not really sure about whether I should be ashamed or proud of my ability to come up with a stoy continuation from almost anything. Its wierd because I have been doing this sort of thing since I was a little kid. I would do something more like act it out back then, but I still put myself into stories with characters that weren't really there.
So, the 100th blog post is coming up soon and I would love to do something special for it. Its like a birthday for my blog. I've really increased in popularity since I first started blogging. I'm not sure what to do though. If I get enough encouragement, I might post one of my fanfiction stories. However, I'm still very scared to do that. I promise my blog won't turn into a place for nothing but fanfics, this should just be a one time thing.
So, at this point, I need your help. In order to get me to post a fanfic on the 100th post, I need you, the viewers, to do the following things.
Right now, there are 157 views for this month. You are more than half way there. Meanwhile, keep reading, and comment to let me know what story you want to see. I'm relying on you all to do this, or I won't post the story. Good luck, and may the best story suggestion win!
Love,
Elizabeth W.

Working Working Working...
I am working toward all kinds of goals right now. Today, I failed on one. Yesterday I came one step closer to completing another. Life is just wierd.
I taught a lesson in FCA today. However, I thought it was absolutely horrible. I wanted to do the message of salvation, but there were no non-christians there that I knew of. In fact, there were very few people there at all. So, I tried to transform the lesson into more of a how-to-share-the-gospel type of message. It really stunk. I mean, there were a few points that were really good. However, I don't feel that it was one of my better lessons. Then, the bell rang and I had to awkwardly cut my ukulele thing short. I guess I'll have to make up for it week after next. I plan to do a Christmas lesson.
The main reason this lesson was so terrible was that I didn't have any inspiration to use. The sermons at church were just really dry. There was nothing inspirational or interesting that could lead me to a lesson. But next time I won't rely on church. I want to tell the Christmas story and expand upon it. Tell how we can apply it to our lives. I have two weeks to get it together. Pray that it goes well.
The goal that I started working toward yesterday was making my first screen printed shirt. It has a quote from one of my very first videos. It will say in big black letters:
SECRET
BRITISH
COWBOY
GANGSTA
I think that it will turn out quite well. I haven't finished making the design on the screen though. I drew it out with pencil. I painted the drawing fluid on the screen. Today I have to squeegee the filling fluid in. Depending on how long it takes to dry, I may be able to wash off the drawing fluid either today or tommorrow. As soon as that is done, I can start making the shirts. By the way, if you want one, contact me. I want to make however many of this kind I need before I wash off the design and screenprint something else.
If you have any ideas for a shirt or would like a specialty one printed, simply tell me. You can e-mail me or facebook me or talk to me in person or text me. However, talking to me in person, on facebook, or by text are the most reliable means. I don't check my e-mail as often as I should. I will probably charge about fifteen dollars for a shirt right now. If you bring me the tshirt that you want me to print it on instead of making me use one that I have to buy, I'll only charge ten. I might work you out a discount somehow, since it is the holidays. And, if you help me screen print it AND supply the tshirt I will only charge you five dollars. You can buy the shirts for yourself or people on your Christmas list.
ACT NOW! THIS OFFER WON'T LAST FOREVER!
I think I may use this particular design as a Christmas gift for several people. Its cheaper and easier than trying to think up something special. And, I did make it myself.
I have lots of Christmas stuff coming up that I have to do. I have a Christmas house tour thing to do with my mom either today or tomorrow. Then, on Friday, I have a Christmas type party to go to with some of my friends from church. Then, I might go to another party on saturday. Maybe. It depends. I'm just feeling the Christmas spirit right now. Learning Christmas songs on the Ukulele. Hearing them on the radio. Making and buying gifts for people. Getting gifts. Going to parties. But Ramses is not dancing, he does not dance at the party.... Sorry, that popped into my head.
Well, wish me good luck. I have a spanish test today. I also have a Government test tomorrow. Whoooo.
Love,
Elizabeth W.
