So, this weekend I watched Les Miserables, the 25th anniversary version with Nick Jonas, all the way through. The plot was so sad, and I felt like it ended really abrupty. Practically everybody dies. Everyone but Marius and Cosette, and Marius came close to dying. I find it weird that Marius and Cosette play rather minor roles compared to Jean Valjean and Javert, but they are the ones who survive the whole tragedy. Either way, I look foreward to seeing the movie version sometime, even if I have to wait until its on DVD, though I really want to see it in the theaters.
I really don't have much to talk about.
Second period, in aquatic science, we got to make fish out of play-doh in order to learn about fish morphology. We did a little bit of learning, but mainly we talked and played with play-doh. I taught everyone that a few drops of water can help bring play-doh that is drying out back to its original consistency. I thought everybody knew that.
All weekend I was distracted by the thought of a certian boy. I got to see and talk to him today, and I cannot wait until fifth period so that I can see him again. I really enjoy spending time with him, but I only have two classes with him. I can see him before and after school though.
I started writing another children's book. This one is more of a fairytale. There is an actual plot and whatnot, but I don't think it is very fantastic. I just felt like doing something yesterday, so that is what I did.
This weekend, I made a TARDIS locker cover. The only problem is that I made is out of posterboard and when I put it on my locker, it was about six inches too short. I guess I'll just have to find something to stick on the bottom. It still looks cool and makes my locker different than everyone else's.
Love,
Elizabeth W.

New Ideas For The New Year
So, the new year is in just a few days... Well, NO DUH! That is practically all that everyone on Facebook and whatnot are talking about. The new year (and a new laptop) will definitely mean some cool things for me and you.
SKITS!
This last year I didn't do many skits or music videos on YouTube. Honestly, 2012 has just been a year void of time and creativity. However, I am currently working with my brother, James, (who has agreed to be in my videos again) and we have been coming up with some awesome video ideas. I have been working out the logistics for each of them in my spare time.
EDITING!
I have also been very un-creative in my editing this year. I just got sick of using windows movie maker. However, I currently have a trial version of PowerDirector (hopefully I will get the full version sometime soon) and I absolutely love it. Its not Final Cut Pro, but its better than what I was working with.
MUSIC VIDEOS!
I am so ready to make some more music videos. I have new camera stands that I am dying to use and tons of new music to incorporate. I would love to make another video like Zombie, where I actually have other people. Directing that video was fun, and because I had other people depending on me, I was able to push myself to make it great and get it done.
COVERS!
With the new year, I plan to make a ton of cover videos too. I am constantly learning new songs on the ukulele and I hope to get a mic sometime soon, so that I can have better quality audio.
VLOGS!
I have never considered myself good at vlogging. That is a major reason that I blog. However, with a new editing program, I feel more confident that I can make some interesting vlogs, so look out for those as well.
In the mean time, happy new year!
Love,
Elizabeth W.

Ukulele Day #1
So, today I brought my ukulele to school. Yes, I have a ukulele. Yes, I play it quite frequently. Yes, I only got it about two months ago. Technically, the one that I play on is my brother's, but mine is more of a toy and his is an authentic instrument. So, I brought my brother's ukulele to school today because I wanted to use it for senior pictures.
I was relly impressed at how well they handled someone bringing such an odd instrument in as a prop. I can't wait to see how the pictures turn out. They're supposed to mail the proofs within three weeks. I can't wait.
But I think its amazing how much of a conversation starter a ukulele is. I mean, you simply walk in with it and you're bombarded with questions of "Is that a ukulele?" "Do you know how to play?" "Can I try?" "Will you play it for me?"... Its so crazy. And for someone who doesn't work well with random conversations, its really strange and almost scary. I almost dread it. However, I do enjoy the fact that people notice. I guess I could start saying, okay, I'll play you one song, but you can go to my youtube channel and watch a ton of others.
A ukulele is also rather cumbersome to carry around all day. If I didn't have a backpack, a jacket, and a stack of books to lug around all the time, it wouldn't be so bad. If my brother hadn't lost the case, it wouldn't be so bad either. I have to carry it around by the neck because he lost the case that slips over it and has a handle.
Today, I have to stay for extra time after school because my parents (both are teachers) have a meeting after school. I guess at least I will have something to work on and entertain myself with.
I have been learning several Christmas songs to put on Youtube and play at family gatherings, but I have found no time to make videos. I hope that I will have a little time today, that way I can make one or two. I really enjoy making the videos with my dad's webcam instead of my cell phone camera. It takes better quality video and is more predictable. Hopefully I can manage to do some videos sometime this week. If not, I may have to wait until Christmas break.
Well, its almost time for me to go... You know what that means!

If you could hear any song played on the ukulele, what song would it be?
Well, I have to go make t-shirt designs and then review for a history test.
See you tomorrow!

College and YouTube and Stuff!
I feel like I must explain my rather awesome weekend to you all. Let us start with friday...
Friday I did not have to go to school because our volleyball girls went to state! Thank you volleyball girlies, for letting me have a free day on Friday. I basically did nothing all day. However, this Friday was the start of the NGEN radio show, Phenomenon, with SOUL GLOW ACTIVATOR! So, at about 7:00 I got on my dad's laptop and used the webcam to make several cover videos using my brother's ukulele. I made three, but I only got to upload two because every time I tried to upload a video, it would mess up the netflix show my parents were trying to watch, and they would get mad. So, after uploading two videos, I got ready for bed, and at 10:00, I turned on the NGEN radio app on my phone and listened to Phenomenon for like 15 minutes. The first thing I noticed was that the DJ-ing was really good. I wish that whoever it was, SGA or somebody at NGEN, would be our DJ at prom this year, because our school always gets crappy DJs, no offense to anyone. The other thing was that all of the music made me want to get up and dance, and, unlike the music at prom, I was not ashamed at any of the lyrics. I will definately listen again next friday night, and you should too.
Saturday, I woke up at about 5:40, got dressed, and was out of the house by 6:20. My mom and I stopped at McDonalds and got breakfast, then headed to Huntsville. Thats right, Saturdays at Sam baby! We got to walk around the SHSU campus for a really long time. I am pretty convinced that I will be going to college there. They have an amazing teaching program, so I can get my teaching degree, but they also have film and theatre programs. Because of Dual Credit, I won't have to take freshman English either. I got 4 SHSU t-shirts (Thankfully, I look good in orange). Then my mother and I ate at a place called Culvers. They have amazing frozen custard, but their burgers aren't as good as everyone says they are. They're really greasy and expensive. After that, we went to Walmart and did some Christmas shopping.
On Sunday, I went to church and then went out to eat mexican food. When I got home, I checked the viewcount on the two videos I had posted on Friday night. One of them had 13 views, not that unusual, but the other had 49 views! I know that that really isn't a big deal for most YouTubers, but it is for me. In like 48 hours, I had gotten fifty views! Normally it would take at least two months to get that many views. I am so thankful for the people who watched or shared or whatever. I also have a few more subscribers. I feel like I am finally getting a chance to move up in the world.
Today is the first day of a two day school week. The second day is only a "half day", which means that we get out at 1:10, but that really makes it more of a 3/4 day, I'm pretty sure. I plan to make quite a few more cover videos over Thanksgiving break. And don't worry about the blog, I'll post here too! I just didn't post this weekend because, obviously, I had a ton of things going on. After Thanksgiving, be ready for Christmas music. I plan on posting Christmas covers with James starting this weekend.
I think I will post the following covers this week, if all goes as planned...
Must Have Done Something Right - Relient K
Mamacita - FF5
Wobble - FF5
Say It - Britt Nicole
Daddy's Baby Girl - Jimmy Needham
Beauty Will Rise - Steven Curtis Chapman
Love Song For A Savior - Jars Of Clay
Just so you know, I sing many of these songs not because of the meaning, but because I like the sound of the song and it is close to being within my vocal range. Of course, this list is subject to change at any second, but it gives you something to look foreward to.
Also, I have learned that I am better at actual blogging than Vlogging. This makes me sad since I love Meekakitty's videos so much. I do plan on dying my hair red/orange this summer. Partially because I have always wanted to have strangely colored hair, partially because I love Tessa's hair. I want to use temporary dye, like the 40 day stuff, so that I will still be able to donate my hair again at a later date. I also feel like it will be showing school spirit...

Questions of the day:
What is your favorite Christmas song? What is your favorite all the time song? Did you watch my cover of "You Got It" by FF5?
Well, goodbye for este momenta.
That is totally not correct spanish.
I fail.
Hasta luego!
