Prom is this weekend, and I am very excited.
I bought my dress about a month or two ago at this thing called the 27 dresses project. A bunch of people donated their old prom dresses and then they were sold to people like me/given away to people who needed them but couldn't pay for a prom dress. My dress was the first one you saw when you went into the little building where the shop was set up. I looked through all of the dresses, but I couldn't find anything that I really liked. I had my eye on this dress the whole time though. My mom convinced me to try it on and it fit almost perfectly. They said that a bunch of different people had tried the dress on and it didn't fit any of them. I felt like a princess when I was wearing it.
While we were in San Marcos, my mother and I visited the outlet mall and ended up going to icing. We found some jewelry and hairthings that were silver and we got them for me to wear with my dress. Dangly earrings, a choker-style necklace, and bobby pins with flowers on them.
I had been talking with my mom about getting TOMS to wear to prom (silver sparkly ones) with my dress. I showed her some online but she didn't think they would go. Yesterday we went to academy to buy some new shoes for my brother and dad. I had forgotten that they sold BOBS, the sketchers equivalent of toms that were very similar and half the price. I ended up getting some white ones that were the typical canvas shoe style, but they have this lace pattern on them. Last night I tried them on with my dress, and they look perfect. I'm looking foreward to the fact that I don't have to bring shoes to change into. I can just dance in my bobs. The cool thing about Bobs is that they donate a pair of shoes to kids in need just like toms does. Not to mention, you get a sticker and a bracelet with every pair you buy.
I'm also excited because I actually have a real date to the prom this year. Last year, I actually ended up asking the guy myself. Now I have a wonderful boyfriend that I am going with. Not to mention, we are riding to prom with my best friend, Ellen, and her date. She's dressing as the TARDIS (She found a dress online) and he's going as the doctor. I'm excited to see what this ends up looking like.
Speaking of Doctor Who, I finished the last season on netfilx this weekend. I was rather sad, but I ended up finding a place online where I can watch season 7. I still haven't gotten to the part where Clara comes in. I have a sticky note on my computer that I am using to keep track of what episode I am on and how far into the episode I am. Currently, I am in the 25th minute of season 7 episode 2. Something about dinosaurs.
My dearest spent this weekend watching Japanese anime, so we spent quite a bit of time this weekend talking about it. He says I would like Full Metal Alchemist. I may begin watching it sometime soon. I'm kind of cautious when it comes to anime because I don't know much about it and I haven't ever really watched any, unless pokemon counts as anime.
GAH! I keep obsessing over prom. Every thought seems to come back to it. I really cannot wait for it, and once its here, I will still be obsessing over it for at least a month afterwards.
I am also really looking foreward to the summer. I want to be free of this madness called "school". I also want to be able to spend more time with my dearest and working on youtube videos. I want to be able to wear shorts that are out of school dress code and spaghetti strap tops. I want graduation to be over so that I can dye my hair red and have the money to get a new camera. I want to be 18 so that I can get a paypal account and begin making money via adsense and bandcamp and whatnot.
By the way, I started a bandcamp page for my music. Right now there is only one song up, but there should be more sometime soon. I've been playing around with music recording programs and whatnot. The one on there already is one that I recorded with my phone. My bandcamp adress is lizardbreathwalker.bandcamp.com ,just so you know.
Love,
Elizabeth W.

Clinic Day!
Today we have another clinic for One Act Play. There are only about three more weeks left of this stressful madness! Whoo!
Today we get to go to another school to get critiqued on our play in order to make it better. We are supposed to eat first lunch, which as thrown me off completely because I don't know who to sit with or anything. I also have to miss my after lunch classes and walking to the bus with Taylor, since we won't be back until 5 or so.
Yesterday, while shopping for costume stuff, I found some stuff for myself also. I got a pair of red high heels that are really shiny. They're not really high, but they make me a bit taller. They have cushioning in them too, so they're rather comfortable. I got a cute pair of flats that I will use for the play and probably wear at least once a week also. I found a shirt on the sale rack for $5 and I got it. It is just a grey tshirt that has snoopy from peanuts on it, but I like it because its comfy, cute, and it only cost $5.
I have had nothing to eat/drink today so far except coffee. It was good and has made me hyper, but I feel really hungry. Good thing I have lunch after this!
I am not looking foreward to the bus ride to the other school. I hate riding on buses because they stink and they're never the right temperature. Someone always decides to put the window down too, so my hair always gets messed up. I really don't care that much aboutmy hair, but I do not like when it gets in my face, which is what the wind causes it to do.
I am looking foreward to Prom and Senior Trip though. Those are coming up. Because our class has been really good about paying their dues, we basically won't have to pay anything for the trip, and we get to take fancy buses and stuff. We're going to six flags or something. I really could care less about amusement parks, but I'll get to hand out with my friends. I don't really care that much for roller coasters and stuff.
Someday, I want to got to Disney. I've never been to either theme park, but I've always wanted to go. There has never been enough money to get there and back and buy tickets and everything else. I hope we can go sometime in the near future. I love the fact that they have actual characters running around the park. I love cosplay type stuff for some reason... Probably because I'm and actor and I'm still a little kid on the inside.
I kind of want to keep writing so that Taylor will have something to read and think about while I'm gone. Yeah, I'm that thoughtful.
Doh! I'm ranked 42 in the stock game now. It all took a turn for the worse. My stocks are doing good, but not good enough to make me money. I think I just need to sell off some stuff. I think its strange that the stock market can be so addicting. Even though this is just a game and there is no real money involved, some people are obsessed.
I had a bad dream last night. Taylor was in it. It wasn't scary, but it wasn't pleasant. I really don't want to talk about it because it is kind of personal. Then again, now that I've said that I realize that all dreams are personal. When I woke up, I thought it had really happened and I almost freaked out. I hate dreams like that that are so realistic and hard to tell if they were just a dream.
Thanks to the channel "Vsauce" on YouTube, I learned something insignificantly interesting yesterday. When I was a kid, I would always see those little floaty bacteria looking things in my vision. I would sit there and stare at them and wonder what they were, but no adult would ever understand what they were when I described them. According to Vsauce, those are actually little microscopic organisms and things that live in the fluid in and around your eye. They're impossible to see unless you have a microscope. However, when the light is right and they get on the retina of your eye, they cause a shadow and you can see them. Thank you vsauce, for solving a lifelong mystery for me.
I did not make a video yesterday like I talked about. I decided that taking a camera into a store was probably not the best idea. Stores don't like that. And I thought it would be good to spend some quality chatting time with my mother. So, I didn't video anything. I really need to stop saying that I will do something, because I never do. I do have stuff to edit though. I hope to do that soon.
My leg just fell asleep. No me gusta. It feels all tingley and wierd now. I have this strange and irrational fear that one day I will be in a public place, just sitting there, and my leg will fall asleep without me noticing. Then I will try and get up to walk and I'll just fall over because my leg was asleep. I don't know if it could happen, but that is one of my irrational fears.
I feel like this blog follows the complicated and crazy thought proccess that my mind uses. I feel like I might confuse some people with my randomness too. Sorry (not)!
So, you know how I talked about starting google adsense on this blog and youtube when I turned 18? Well, I think I may do it over spring break instead. I'm averaging 100 views a day. I think I could be making some money off of this. I hate ads just as much as the next teenager (literally, I complained about it a few days ago), but I do think this will be a good thing. My mom and I talked it over and it seems like a good business decision. Next week is spring break for our school, so be ready.
Man, I have Thrift Shop stuck in my head. I have since I left the house this morning. It makes me want to go bargain hunting and stuff, and I don't have the ability to right now. Today that and "Heart of War" by FTF have been stuck in my head. Never both at once, but going back and forth between the two of them.
Love,
Elizabeth W.

Night 1 In Review
Yesterday was an excruciatingly long day. First there was the school part, which was okay, but it seemed to drag on forever. I presented my composition in spanish class from memory, and I think I did pretty well. I've gotten to the point in learning spanish that if I can't remember exactly what the word is, I can say something like it that means the same thing. Basically, I can just wing it if I have to. Then, I went to comedy throwdown. For the first night, it went rather well. There was only a minor amount of confusion, and the production class was really funny. Tonight and Saturday night should be a lot smoother and hopefully a lot more entertaining.
Taylor, I can see you while I'm typing this. Your class just came into the library computer lab and I can see you through the doorway. You're sitting by Michael. But, now the teacher closed the door. If you're not Taylor, feel free to ignore this paragraph that you just read. I made it small so that It is less obvious. Then again, that may make it more obvious. Either way, carry on.
I think the most hilarious thing that I have ever seen at comedy throwdown was my freshman year. I wasn't on an improv team, but I got to come and watch. One game, I can't even remember what it was, had these kids in production or one of the higher up theatre classes doing a scene. I can remember this blond kid speaking in a british accent and saying that he was like spiderman swinging down from a tall building. For some reason, it was absolutely hilarious.
Comedy Throwdown is modeled after a thing that happens in Houston called Comedy Sports. Its basically an improv show with quite a bit of audience interaction. I have never actually been to comedy sports, but I assume that it is rather fun.
Personally, improv is not my thing. I can do it, but I'm not that funny. I like to be dramatic, and I'm much better when I have lines, or at least some idea of what to say. I'mnot very quick or witty, except when I think afterwards of things I could have said.
I have a spanish quiz today, and I just made the flashcards this morning. PROCRASTINATION FOR THE WIN! Actually, I just haven't had the time to study until today. So, hopefully I can manage to stuff the last ten words into my brain that I haven't yet memorized.
The other day, my brother asked me what my blog is about. I responded with "Whatever I want it to be about!". I really, for the life of me cannot categorize the blog in that way. I talk about everything from my life to my schoolwork to college to books to movies to video making to random projects that I am working on. I really have no set topic. I think that I like it that way though. It lets me say and do whatever I want. I don't have to fit into a mold that I've set for myself. I can be goofy or I can be serious. I have heard it said that one of the things about humans is that they try to categorize things. I think its just too impossible to categorize some things, this blog being one of them.
DESCRIPTION PRACTICE TIME!
Pedaling. Constantly. I make my way up the large hill, although around here it could almost be considered a mountain. Finally. I breathe heavily, for I haven't done this in months. She sits there in her shorts and t-shirt, not winded at all, but waiting patiently. I pull the water from the small basket in front and take a nice long drink, cooling off to some extent. The sun beats heavily down on our backs and the tops of your heads. Thank God for sunscreen. The road is wide ahead, but curvy and rather intimidating. What happens if I lean too far one way? What if I crash off of the side? Nothing but a muddy ditch to break my fall. I turn on the camera and place it in the basket, pointing foreward. I may or may not ever do this again, for I am an extreme scaredy cat. Either way, I want to know what it would look like from that point of view. This is why I am friends with her, I tell myself. I need someone to push me to live a little and do seemingly crazy things like this. My heart is pounding in my ears. "Ready?" she asks. I nod, and we begin to edge foreward, only seconds away from a roller coaster experience. Then, the machines start moving on their own, pulled downward by the eternal force of gravity. We quickly pick up our feet, and we are off. The farther we get down the hill, the faster we go. I hear her exclamation of joy, and I try to do the same, but the noise is muffled by the wind rushing by our ears. She passes me up and we zoom around the curves with ease. Finally ride is over and the road straightens out enough to begin pedaling again.
Whoo! That was like experiencing that bike ride all over again. Wow.
By the way, don't forget to visit my lifescouts blog page, whic has a link up in the top left corner of the page. I post on there at least once a week, and I have stories to go along with all of the badges.
