I am currently rushing to finish the book Les Miserables. Why? I do love the book and I want to finish it in good time, but it is technically due back to the library today and I want to see about getting it turned in so I can have another book to read. I guess I could just check it out to myself again, then check out another book too. That way I can finish the book tomorrow or whatever, and turn it in then, and still have a book to read. I shall ponder this.
Yesterday, so people were talking about blogging. They were talking about certain teachers that blogged, and how strange it was. I don't know if I'll be able to find the blogs, but I want to try nonetheless. Anyway, they said that one teacher had posted something not so nice on her blog, and they wondered if someone would figure out and she would get in trouble. Then they said that another teacher had a blog too, and they talked about how blogging seemed really lame. Who blogs? they said sarcastically. I actually raised my hand at this point, but I was ignored. They seemed a little confused.
I was talking with my dad about this occurence last night, and he said that blogging is something that people find strange because not everyone can do it, but it seems that it doesn't require talent. Personally, I think that blogging is something that requires someone who can type well and knows how to write stories and essays and such. Its almost like a diary, but a public one that is really read more by people that you don't know than people that you do know. I don't really care what they think about blogging, because I like it, so I shall continue, at least for now.
Last period in aquatic science, we began our first dissection: a perch. The fact that we have to open up a fish and point out specific parts doesn't bother me, but the fact that it is dead and stiff and smells like chemicals does. I have always had an aversion to dead things. I cannot stand them, and I have even had nightmares that involved death and dead things. I just don't like being around or looking at or touching things that are no longer alive. It just seems wrong.
One kid in FCA seems like he keeps trying to stop me and Shelby from teaching a lesson in the mornings. He keeps trying to get guest speakers and trying to get us not to have a lesson ready. Of course, many times he fails to get the person, so we always have a lesson ready just in case. Today was supposed to be my wednesday to teach, but he got a teacher to come and give a lesson instead. Don't get me wrong, this teacher is a youth pastor, and I love the way he presents a message. The lesson this person gave today was awesome. However, I feel like this boy is trying to get rid of me or something. I am normally not bothered by things like this, but its my senior year, and I have only been teaching this year. If he doesn't like my lessons, he should just tell me to my face. I don't need him trying to undermine me behind my back.
I have a song stuck in my head that is really good. Gold by Britt Nicole. I love it. I don't know all of the words yet though, so that poses a slight problem.
This is for all the girls
Boys all over the world
No matter what you've been told
You're worth more than gold...
I love Britt Nicole and her music because I feel like she is a more grown up version of me, almost. You can tell by her music that she has a big heart and a love for
God. It reminds me of the song "Show Jesus" by Jamie Grace.
I gotta tell you that I like the way
Any time anywhere any place
It's written all over your face
The way you love Jesus
And it always speaks to me
A little joy with a touch of peace
It's so inspiring
The way you show Jesus
Jamie Grace is awesome too. I watched a video that Jamie Grace posted on youtube about how she doesn't go out searching for a boyfriend or dating for fun like everyone else because she expects that God has someone for her and she isn't going to date anyone until God wants her to. I learned that lesson this last summer and I started living my life in that manner. And look at me now! I have a boyfriend, and even if we don't get married or we break up in 6 months, I'll be good because I know God has a plan for both of us.
The book that I read that taught me that was "When God Writes Your Love Story". It really changed my perspective on dating and marriage and relationships. I wish more teenagers would read it, so that they can understand the kind of relationships God wants for people, and what they need to get straight in their life before they try to be a part of anyone else's.
Have a fantastic day y'all, and remember how much God loves you!
Love,
Elizabeth W.

Writing a New Story
I have started a new page, with a link near the top, called "Stories and Poems". Basically, I started this on like, Friday, so that all of my posted stories could have a seperate page and be more easy to find. It also gives me motivation to put more stories up here.
Last night, I was looking for some of the stories that I had written a while back, and I could not find any of them. I figure they're probably in boxes, but that means that I'll have to search for them tonight. So, I had this bright idea that I would write a new story. I have a blank spiral notebook and its opened to a fresh, crisp, new blank page. However, I have no idea what to write.
I think reading John Green's novels and watching Vlogbrothers videos has really influenced me to want to write more. I also think that it would be cool to be a published author before I am in college. Can you imagine paying for college with the money from a book that I have written? That would be AWESOME! So, I need a prompt or something to help me start a story. I do NOT do nonfiction or historical fiction. I hate reading it, and I hate writing it.
I used to have a subscription to a magazine called Writer's Digest. It was really cool because it gave tips on writing and getting published and writers block and things like that. I kinda wish I had thought to keep some of the copies or something. Maybe I'll subrscibe to it again sometime. It was a great resource.
I checked on their website and they have some cool stuff there. I just really wish I could think of something to write about. I know that this is a kind of writing, but I make up the topic and it is just me telling about my life. Its not that I don't like it, its just that this is not going to get me any money to pay for college (except on the off-chance that when I turn 18 I start using Google Adsense).
I'm going to go look at the Writer's Digest website some more, so have fun! Oh, and don't forget to go check out the music video that I posted on Youtube yesterday.

Valentines and Repeat Reading...
Valentines day is tomorrow and I am very much unprepared. I do not have any of the cards or gift things ready that I plan to give out. My little brother doesn't even have his store-bought valentines yet. That means we have to go to the store, AKA fight the candy-filled madness today. I'm kinda scared but slightly excited.
I had coffee today for the first time since friday. I feel really amazing. I am a little tired, but I feel awake. I think if I can keep my coffee intake down to about three times a week or so, I should be better off. I won't have to worry about caffeine headaches and whatnot. Plus, it will be a little healthier.
I am reading TFIOS again. I know that I only finished it yesterday, but I really want to read it again and I think I have the mental capability. Normally, I cannot read a book a second time. I just already know what is going to happen and cannot find joy in re-reading it. However, TFIOS seems to have more in it than meets the eye. There is all kinds of symbolism and a ton of quotable things that I didn't catch the first time through. Plus, there are a ton of details that I missed the first time through.
I think it is kind of funny that Hazel in TFIOS has a book that she is obsessed with reading and reads over and over again. I think TFIOS might become something like that to me, at least a little bit.
A major theme in TFIOS is that everything will be forgotten unless we find a way to make it remembered. In the book, it is stated that for every person living in the world right now, there are at least fourteen dead people. Many of them will never be remembered because they didn't do anything that survived the test of time or they didn't get credit for whatever they did, even if that thing is still remembered.
I have always been concerned with leaving something for people to remember me by. I feel like even though I am rather young, I should go ahead and start leaving a legacy for others to remember me by. That is kind of the reason that I blog, or at least one of the reasons. I can document what I think and believe and experience so that others can see it, whether they know me or not. And, this will be around as long as blogger and the internet exist.
Sometimes I sit here and wonder who reads this stuff, and what they think of it. Do I affect their thinking in any way? I know that a few of my friends and relatives read it, but it shows that the blog is viewed not only in the US but also in Germany and the UK, as well as Russia and Thailand and Singapore and Australia. Used to, even just a telephone call to someone that far away was amazing. Now I am being able to share what I think and feel with people in places that I have only dreamed of visiting.
Yesterday, my little brother had a performance with the rest of the first graders. It was a musical and factual performance called "Its a Small World". They all dressed up as people from different countries and sang songs in different languages. It was absolutely adorable. However, it makes me think about how small the world is actually becoming. We are all interconnected by the internet and planes and boats and television and phones. The world is becoming smaller every day and we are gaining the ability to communicate and do things that our ancestors only dreamed of.
I just think its really really cool that a world so big can be so small at the same time.

Off Balance
Something has happened to throw my life off balance. I'm not sure what it is.
I'm reading more than I have in a while. I drink coffee more often. I do more thinking than ever before. I have a crush on a boy for the first time in ages. I think that is part of it. I cannot get the work done that I plan to get done. Everything keeps getting put off. I have little or no time to myself. I have begun drawing and doodleing again. I visited the library two seperate times yesterday and checked out a book, something that I rarely do. I'm being a lot more talkative. I'm getting things done that I though to do years ago, butnot the things to do right now.
This is just wierd. My life has simply gone all topsy turvy. Maybe I'm just going crazy. Maybe I'm in love. I really don't know anymore.
Oh, and the internet at the school is being crappy and frustrating, so I am sorry that this post is short.
Oh, and right now I am reading another fantastic book:
Odd Thomas by Dean Koontz
